Welcome!

A message from our chapter archon:

Welcome to the website for the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma!

At American University, we all have addresses in Washington DC, but have truly found our home in Phi Sigma Sigma. Founded 50 years ago at AU, our dynamic sisterhood has been making a positive impact on the campus community and creating lasting memories for many generations of women. We pride ourselves on maintaining an organization that revolves around our three core values: leadership through service, inclusiveness, and lifelong learning. These three values form the basis for all that we do, and the great philanthropic endeavors we undertake, along with our scholarship excellence and campus involvement truly reflect these.

Phi Sigma Sigma is the first non-sectarian Panhellenic sorority, embracing diversity since the very beginning. A Phi Sig sister does not fit under one specific label: we are a diverse group of women who have many different talents and interests; the love of Phi Sigma Sigma and what it stands for is the common thread holding us together. I invite you to look at our website and find some insight into the lives of our sisters; you will be amazed at the truly inspiring women that have chosen to be a part of Phi Sigma Sigma.

And don't forget one of the most important aspects of Phi Sig - fun! Our sisters love what they do and love each other; there is never a dull moment in our chapter. Make sure that you like us on Facebook and follow us on twitter to hear about all the exciting things we do! If you are looking to go through Formal Recruitment, we can't wait to meet you! If you are not, we hope you enjoy the site and learning about our great sisterhood.
