"Once a Phi Sigma Sigma, Always a Phi Sigma Sigma"

Sisterhood in Phi Sigma Sigma is so much more than wearing the same letters or uniting for our weekly chapter meetings. To us, it is coming together and celebrating not only the similarities we share but our unique differences as well. We support our sisters in their individual endeavors and unite as a whole to give back to our community through our local and national philanthropies. Sisterhood is more than becoming a member, it is developing friendships that will last a lifetime.

The New Member Period

After bid night, new members have five weeks to get to know each other through a variety of activities including group outings, community service events, sisterhood dinners, study hours, and day trips. Guided by the sisterhood developmet chair, the new members learn about the history of Phi Sigma Sigma as well as our chapter. New members have the chance to meet all of our sisters and develop an understanding and personal connection with our ideals, goals, and character as a sorority. Each new member is also matched with a Sapphire Sister or ‘Big’ who guides her not only through initiation but throughout her time as an active sister. Big and little sapphire sisters share lifelong bonds and indescribable friendships.
